MANGUM, Oklahoma -- It has been a long time coming, 17 years in fact, but the Bobbi Parker saga continues into the eleventh hour.

Parker's lawyers have filed a motion to have Judge Richard Darby disqualified. A Comanche county judge will review that motion Oct. 6.

The district attorney said sentencing will go on as planned.

Parker's attorney said that won't happen.

The case spans nearly two decades. It all started in August 1993 when convicted killer Randolph Franklin Dial escaped from the medium security prison in Granite.

That same day, the prison warden's wife, Bobbi Louraine Parker vanished. Inmates would later testify they saw the two alleged lovers take off together.

It took a story on America's Most Wanted and 10 1/2 years before police caught Parker and Dial living together. Authorities apprehended the pair in April of 2005 on a secluded chicken ranch in east Texas.

Parker told authorities she was held captive. Dial said the same.

Dial died in June of 2007 at the age 62.

Parker's trial began in July 2011. During the 11-week trial the defense alleged jury tampering and said Judge Richard Darby was unfit.

Yet, on September 21, a jury found Bobbi Parker guilty of helping Dial escape.

Parker's attorneys said the motion to dismiss the judge will delay the October 6th sentencing.

The judge has not granted a continuance.
