PURCELL, Oklahoma -- Most people in Purcell have their own memories of this old stadium. Conger Field was named after Jim Conger, the head coach who won 100 games with the Dragons. It was built back in 1938.

One of the coolest things about Conger Field is that you always get a good seat on the home side, or the visitor's side.

But to me, the most intriguing element about Conger Field is halfway up near Red Hill, that's where every senior class leaves its mark.

Wouldn't it be cool to leave our name up there? Turns out it wasn't easy getting there. But Conger Field left such an impression on me, I figured… why not leave one of my own?
