OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahomans came together to celebrate a new movie. Filmmakers say "The Prophet's Son" gives a message that will resonate with young people
It's a modern day romance with a twist. The kids maintain their innocence. The Prophet's Son is about saving yourself until marriage and it stars one of Oklahoma's own.
"I really just wait until God shows me where I need to be and then I get the perfect guy," said leading actress Alexandria Harris.
Her perfect guy is played by Josiah Warren, whose mother who lives in Korea and adapted the movie from a book. Josiah hails from Colorado while his on-screen love interest, is from Edmond. The cast comes from across the country and said like their ensemble the movie's message is universal.
"I don't know if people are going to accept it but we can only hope that people will see God's message in the movie," Warren said.
The cast is stepping up by actively promoting the movie. They held a concert at Bethany's First Church of the Nazarene Thursday, where Josiah opened for Phillips Craig and Dean, but even as he rocks out he wants everyone to remember one message. "You don't need to search everywhere for a girl or guy. God will send you your mate," he said. The Prophets' son opens this fall for details visit http://www.tps-themovie.com/
