Norman Police Identify Man Hit And Killed By Amtrak Train

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Norman police have identified a man who was hit and killed by an Amtrak train.

According to police, 44-year-old Tracy Thomas Willaret died after the train hit him around 10:30 p.m. in Norman on Sunday.

Amtrak officials told police the man was sitting on the railroad tracks when the northbound train struck him.

Police say Willaret had recently arrived in Norman. Investigators are still trying to establish his permanent address.

Amtrak operates the daily Heartland Flyer between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth, Texas.
