MUSTANG, Oklahoma -- An Oklahoma hero is laid to rest. Hundreds of supporters lined the streets in Mustang to say farewell to Sgt. Mycal Prince.

Robie Parnell waved the flag outside of The Bridge Church.

"I think we should support them and their families every chance possible," Parnell said.

Sgt. Prince is the 11th member of the 45th infantry division killed in Afghanistan since July.

"I grieve every soldier that is lost," said Kristin Dougherty.

Dougherty joined her young daughter and husband in showing support for the family of the fallen soldier.

Sgt. Prince leaves behind his wife of six years, two young daughters, and countless loved ones.

Law enforcement agencies from across the state were in attendance, including the Minco Police Department. A friend said Sgt. Prince always looked for ways to be in service. In addition to serving in the military, he worked as a police officer for the Minco Police K9 unit.

Friends described Sgt. Prince as a man who gave his life to create a better life for people he didn't know. Oklahoma Marine, Gunnery Sgt Jeremiah Grubbs is one of those stranger, he wanted to show support for a fellow serviceman who made the ultimate sacrifice for America.

"They are honoring not only him but us, what we are here for and what we stand for." During the service, loved ones watched a video tribute to the life of Sgt. Prince and shared stores in his memory.

The Blue Star Moms, the VFW, and the Patriot Guard paid tribute to family.

The military presented seven awards to Sgt. Prince's family, including a purple heart. A procession for the fallen soldier pasted through Minco where Sgt. Prince lived, Chickasha where he was born, and Alex where he was once a police officer before arriving at his final resting place in Bradley Cemetery.
