Following the argument, police said, one of the cars took off and the other car followed close behind. Both cars stopped again near I-240 and Bryant Avenue, where the argument turned deadly.

"At least one occupant exited the vehicle and fired several shots, striking the passenger in the first vehicle," said Captain Ron Bacy with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

According to police, the driver quickly turned around after the shooting happened and drove back to the 7-11 to call 911.

Paramedics said the passenger died at the scene.
