MUSTANG, Oklahoma – This week's Friday Night Roundup featured exciting matchups between Mustang and Lawton as well as Midwest City and Yukon.

Midwest City jumped out to a quick lead thanks in large part to James Flanders who did his normal duty in the first quarter.

Flanders put up two quick touchdowns to get his team out 13-0. A pick-6 from the Bomber defense followed shortly after and a two-point conversion made it 21-0 Midwest City.

Ricky Reeves of Midwest City, not to be outdone, pulled off yet another pick-6 to put the Bombers up 28-0.

Yukon quarterback Corben Jones took a hard hit in the first half and didn't return to the game after halftime.

The Millers put up a couple of scores, but couldn't keep up as Midwest City pulled off the 42-14 victory.

Lawton and Mustang started off a lot closer with both teams' offenses faltering early. The game was tied at 7, but Mustang threw three early picks and the Wolverines couldn't convert on them.

Late in the third period, Lawton began to make some headway after a 29-yard touchdown pass from Brandon Bartlett to Kevin Foster made it 21-7.

Mustang struck back quickly, taking just more than a minute to convert a 15-yard pass from Brandon Taylor to A.J. Ashman to cut the lead back to a touchdown.

Unfortunately for the Broncos, that was all the offense they could muster for the night. Lawton took over and finished it off with a final score of 40-14.
