NORMAN, Oklahoma – The Oklahoma Board of Regents voted to give football coach Bob Stoops an extension and raise Monday.

Stoops' new deal will run through 2018 and will pay him $34.5 million over seven years, giving him more than $4 million per season. He also will receive bonuses for remaining with the team each year.

The vote on Stoops' contract came during the same OU Board of Regents meeting that gave David Boren the power to change OU's conference affiliation.
