OKLAHOMA CITY -- Every week John Holcomb breaks down the performance of the Oklahoma State Cowboys and this week was a 59-33 win over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane after a three-hour rain delay.
Offensively, the Cowboys earned a B for their performance Saturday. Brandon Weeden continued to put up big numbers, passing for 369 yards and three touchdowns, despite throwing two interceptions in the game. Justin Blackmon's NCAA-record 14-straight games with more than 100-yards receiving was snapped with his 57 yards and a score, while sophomore Joseph turned in another gem, rushing for 128 yards and three scores.
Some tackling issues and more than 480 total yards given up earned the Oklahoma State defense a passing grade of a C. OSU gave up big chunks on the ground, allowing an average of more than six yards per rush against Tulsa.
Justin Gilbert's 96-yard kickoff return for a score and Quinn Sharp kicking half of his kickoffs deep enough for touchbacks earned OSU an A- for the game.
