COTTON COUNTY, Oklahoma – A Wichita Falls, Texas man was critically injured after he wrecked his four-wheeler in Cotton County Saturday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

According to the OHP collision report, this happened at 5:26 p.m. at the Red River drainage. Forty-nine-year-old Martin Hasten was driving eastbound in the riverbed when he attempted to cross a sand dune, causing his 2006 Honda four-wheeler to flip over.

Troopers say the four-wheeler then landed on Hasten and his passenger, 49-year-old Maxine Hasten.

Martin Hasten was transported to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls in serious condition due to injuries suffered in the collision. Maxine Hasten was transported to the hospital as well in fair condition.

Troopers have determined the cause of this collision to be too many people on the four-wheeler.
