OKLAHOMA CITY – In 2004, Ed Pulido was hit by an improve explosive devise on military duty in Iraq, and vowed that if he lived he would come back and help the men and women in uniform.

$10 million and 2,000 scholarships later, his impact has been undeniable.

Pulido teamed with former F-16 pilot Major Dan Rooney to form Folds of Honor, a foundation whose mission is to give back to spouses and children of soldiers killed or disabled.

The foundation hosts numerous charity golf tournaments to raise money for the foundation, and Rose Creek Golf Course and Country Club in Oklahoma City played host on Wednesday.

Local celebrities, golfers, military members and supporters hit the course to help raise money for the foundation.

Pulido said the event would bring in an estimated $30,000 in just one day for Folds of Honor and partnering organization HeartLine 2-1-1.

News 9's Dean Blevins was at Rose Creek to spend some time with Pulido and learn more about the event.
