Your 2 Cents: The Fun Things Parents Do To Embarrass Their Teenagers

One of my friends dared me to wear my new overalls to my kids' school to embarrass them. That got me to thinking, and you guys writing about some of the fun things we've done to embarrass our teenagers.

Paul from Norman says when his daughter didn't meet him on time after a school dance; the lights on top of his truck came in handy: "To her horror I commenced spot lighting the crowd until I found her."

John from Spencer wrote: "I showed up at my daughter's prom in full police uniform."

Deanna from Edmond says her husband was tired of their daughter being tardy and delivered on his threat: "...he waited outside her history class with a cardboard sign around his neck in full clown gear and make-up, all the sign said was 'Rachel's Dad'. She ran to the restroom crying."

Amber says her mom picked up her brother at school after a field trip and: "…she thought it would be funny to drive the little red riding lawn mower with the little trailer attached. Well the buses showed up and my brother was so embarrassed."

Fran says: "At my stepdaughter's high school graduation dinner, her father pulled out his store bought Billy Bob teeth and asked the waitress if she had a toothbrush!"

Finally, if you're not sure how to get started embarrassing your teenagers I like this technique Jackie employed at the mall: "I stopped to very seriously ask a mannequin for directions to a certain department... (Worked) best when they had friends with them."
