Burglary Call In Southwest OKC Leads To Homicide Investigation

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police arrest a burglary suspect after they find a an elderly woman's body inside a house following a standoff.

Around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, someone called police and said there was a suspicious person in a neighbor's home near S.W. 48th Street and Walker Road.  When officers arrived, they found a suspect barricaded inside the house with the victim.

Police went into the house after 10 p.m. and found the elderly woman dead inside.  They arrested the burglary suspect.  It's not known how the victim died.  Police are now conducting a homicide investigation.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
