Funeral Services Set For Lee Roy Selmon

OKLAHOMA CITY – Funeral services have been set for former OU defensive lineman Lee Roy Selmon.

There will be services in both Florida as well as Oklahoma.

On Thursday, a service was held in Tampa, Fla. at Exciting Central Baptist Church.

A service will be held at Del City's First Southern Baptist Church on Saturday.

Selmon died on Sunday, Sept. 4 after suffering from a stroke on the previous Friday. He was 56 years old.

In lieu of flowers for Saturday's services in Oklahoma, the Selmon family has asked that gifts be made to the Sooner Club in Lee Roy's name. The Sooner Club funds scholarships for OU student athletes. The address is OMS, 180 W. Brooks, Norman, Oklahoma 73019. For more information, call (405) 325-8000.
