NOBLE, Oklahoma -- The Noble Police Department confirms that the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating reports of shots being fired at firefighting helicopters in the area Thursday afternoon.

Black Hawk helicopters from the Oklahoma Army National Guard were tasked with making water drops on the wildfire which burned near the Noble High School about 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

No injuries were reported.
