NORMAN, Oklahoma – OU installed the newest featured piece to its famed Heisman Park outside of Memorial Stadium on Wednesday.

The statue was unveiled on May 14 after six months of production and stands 10 feet tall on a three-foot base and weighs 1200 pounds.

Bradford was invited to monitor the progress of the statue during its production.

The statue joins statues of fellow Heisman winners Billy Vessels, Steve Owens, Billy Sims and Jason White.

No formal ceremony was held due to Bradford's obligations as starting quarterback for the St. Louis Rams as the season approaches.

"I am flattered to be honored this way and humbled to be mentioned with people like Billy Vessels, Steve Owens, Billy Sims and Jason White," Bradford said. "Unfortunately, due to my responsibilities with the Rams, I can't get back to campus this fall as the statue is placed in Heisman Park, but I remain very appreciative."
