STILLWATER, Oklahoma – The Oklahoma State football will return the dynamic duo of quarterback Brandon Weeden and receiver Justin Blackmon, but it has seen major changes on the sidelines.

Todd Monken took over the offensive coordinator duties for Dana Holgorsen, who became the head coach at West Virginia. The Cowboys' offense was lethal under Holgorsen and always ran at a fast pace.

After spring practices, there was some concern that OSU's new offense under Monken did not carry that same high tempo or quick-strike ability.

"I'm so tired of talking about tempo, I can't see straight," Monken said. "The bottom line is just, ‘Get your guys lined up, run the offense, execute the offense and you'll be fine.'"

Weeden noted that the team is still making adjustments, but that he does not think the new offense will hinder the Cowboys' production.

"We're still moving fast, but guys are still thinking a little bit," Weeden said. "Once we get the game plan in and we're going against our scout team, we'll move fast and guys won't have to think as much."
