STILLWATER, Oklahoma – The Oklahoma State basketball team announced its 2011-2012 schedule Monday.

The Cowboys will start their season slowly against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Nov. 11, but the difficulty of their schedule will rise quickly.

OSU will host the first two rounds of the NIT Season Tip-Off, and if it advances beyond those rounds would play in famed Madison Square Garden.

"This will be one of the toughest schedules in the country this season," head coach Travis Ford said. "The home schedule we've put together will present a great challenge. It will give our fans an opportunity to enjoy a lot of exciting basketball games right here in Stillwater."

The Cowboys will travel to New York to play in the Garden again against Big East power Pittsburgh on Dec. 10 before returning to Oklahoma to play in the 76th annual All-College Classic a week later against New Mexico.

The Big 12 conference schedule will begin Jan. 4 against Texas Tech. The Cowboys will face rival Oklahoma in the Bedlam games on Jan. 9 in Stillwater and Feb. 22 in Norman. They will finish conference play against Kansas State on March 3.
