OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City closed out its five-game home stand with a 2-1 win over Iowa Sunday, their final matchup with the Cubs this season.

Iowa (62-74) stared off the scoring as early as possible, as Lou Montanez hit a leadoff home run – his seventh home run of the season – to give the Cubs an early advantage.

The RedHawks (64-72) answered in the bottom of the first, via a two-out homer from Brett Wallace, his first of the season, to tie the game 1-1. Oklahoma City took the lead in the next inning, when pitcher Andy Van Hekken grounded into a double-play, allowing J.R. Towles to score from third.

Van Hekken (8-6) came away with a win for the outing, giving up just one earned run on six hits and striking out two in his win. Alberto Cabrera (3-5) was credited with a loss for Iowa (62-74), giving up two earned runs on eight hits, despite striking out five.

Oklahoma City will now head out on its final road trip of the season, a four-game road tilt against the New Orleans Zephyrs, starting at 7 p.m. Monday.
