OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma science teacher is bringing first-hand experience from the Gulf of Mexico to her classroom this year.

Jennifer Daftari is a 5th grade science teacher at Jay Elementary.  She spent the last two weeks on a fishery cruise aboard the ship "Ocean Two."

She was one of just 30 teachers from across the country participating in NOAA's Teacher at Sea Program.
