UPDATE: OKLAHOMA CITY – Crews have found the body of a drowning victim at Lake Stanley Draper just after 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Authorities say a fisherman ventured out into a known dangerous area and drowned.

The lake's water level is very low due to this dry and hot summer. But the man's family says he found a spot deep enough to fish, which was near a spillway.

The 25-year-old man waded out, went under the water, and never resurfaced.

Rescuers say the spillway is unsafe.

The man was found 135 feet from the shore, there are no indications alcohol was involved.

His name has not been released.
