NORMAN, Oklahoma – A motorcycle accident in Norman has left a Noble, Oklahoma man critically injured Friday afternoon, the Norman Police Department reported.
Forty-five-year-old Roy Smithart was taken to Norman Regional Hospital after the collision, where he still remains in critical condition.
According to the accident report, the collision happened at around 5:50 p.m. near S.E. 108th Ave. and Bayland Dr.
Police say Smithart was driving south on S.E. 108th Ave. when he lost control of the motorcycle. Smithart was not wearing a helmet and suffered a significant head injury.
According to the police, no other vehicles were involved in this accident. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
