TULSA, Oklahoma – The sky bridge near the BOK Tower has been around nearly 40 years, but by Monday it will be gone. The wrecking company that is removing it wants to sell it to the highest bidder.

Scott Morgan of Ark Wrecking listed the structure for sale on the internet.

"Craigslist is a real good way to advertise," he said.

And, he said, no reasonable offer will be refused.

"How do you know what one of these things is worth?" Morgan said. "I'll entertain any offer I can get on them."

He's told the worldwide web audience "Make me an offer" on this bridge as his crews work to dismantle it.

He said the 200 feet of red steel is still in good shape.

"I've had people that say 'Well that would make a great cabin.' I've had people that say a press box at a race track."

Ordinarily, all this scrap metal would go to the junk yard, but by putting the bridge up for sale, Morgan's company hopes to make some money, and the old bridge will get a new life.

"If there's anything we can remove and recycle or have somebody else possibly reuse it, I'm all for that" Morgan said.

Morgan said even just five years ago he would have never dreamed of selling a bridge on Craigslist, but the virtual ad has gotten some nibbles.

Morgan is giving interested buyers six months to come forward before he disposes of the bridge.

"People in this area that see it come Monday morning they're going to go, 'Oh, my gosh! We're missing it. It's gone.' A lot of people don't realize it until it's gone," Morgan said.

He said he hopes nostalgia for an era gone by will drive traffic to this 21st-century marketplace.
