THIBODAUX, Louisiana -- A mother and son from Oklahoma are in a Louisiana parish jail charged with the 1995 murder of an elderly Louisiana woman.

The pair, identified as 51-year-old Diane Billiot of Okeene and 33-year-old Sonny Guidry of El Reno are accused of killing 73-year-old Enola Boudreaux in her home 16 years ago.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office says the case was cold until January 2011 when Sheriff Craig Webre learned about some new information that implicated the mother and son as suspects.

Guidry is charged with first degree murder and Billiot is charged with being an accessory after the fact.

Sixteen years ago, Guidry and Billiot lived across from Boudreaux.

The sheriff says six months after Boudreaux's death; the pair left the parish in the middle of the night.

"For sixteen years, Mrs. Boudreaux's family has had to live with the constant undercurrent of not knowing who took their loved one from them so violently," said Sheriff Craig Webre. "While we reopen that wound by bringing attention to this case again, we are now at a point where we can begin helping them heal by making sure justice is served. We can finally put rumors and whispers to rest."

Both waived extradition from Oklahoma and returned this week.

Guidry is being held without bond, Billiot's bond is $100,000.
