ENID, Oklahoma -- A community has joined together to support two teenagers critically injured inside a grain elevator.

On August 4, the lives of two teenagers were forever changed. Bryce Gannon and Tyler Zander, both 17, were working that afternoon at Zaloudek Grain Co., in Kremlin, Okla. The two were operating a large grain auger when Gannon became trapped. Zander quickly went to help becoming trapped himself.

Emergency responders had to free the teenagers from the 10 to 12 inch grain auger. Gannon and Zander were both flown via medical helicopters to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Both boys suffered severe leg injuries and remain in critical condition.

Since the accident, the community has come together to help the boys and their families.

On Saturday, August 27, a fundraiser is planned for the families of Gannon and Zander with their ongoing medical expenses. The cookout will be held at 5 p.m. at the Oakwood Christian Church Activity Center located at 401 N. Oakwood Road in Enid.
