OKLAHOMA CITY -- The RedHawks managed to erase a four-run deficit, but surrendered the lead late to drop the series opener to Omaha 5-4 Monday.

The Storm Chasers (58-49) jumped out to a four-run lead by the bottom of the third, thanks to a double-steal and a ground out in the first and a pair of RBI singles in the third, but starter Vin Mazzaro struggled in the bottom of the fourth.

After getting Anderson Hernandez to strike out to start the inning, Mazzaro gave up back-to-back walks to put runners on first and second. Two batters later, Luis Durango singled to left field to bring Koby Clemens home from second. Mazarro followed by walking J.B. Shuck to load the bases and was tossed and replaced by Luis Durango.

Durango surrendered a bases-clearing double to Brian Bogusevic to tie the game 4-4 for the RedHawks (48-60) at the end of the end of the fourth.

Omaha retook the lead in the top of the seventh thanks to an RBI single by David Lough to bring Juaquin Arias home from second.

Zach Miner (1-0), who replaced Mazzaro after the ejection, came away with his first win of the season, giving up just one hit and striking out two in 2.2 innings of service. Douglass Arguello (3-6) was credited with a loss, giving up just one hit and one run in two innings of service.

Oklahoma City will try to draw with the Storm Chasers at 4:05 p.m. Sunday.
