ENID, Oklahoma -- Using information provided to their Text-A-Tip program, Enid police reported raiding an east side home and arrested one suspect on complaints of cultivation and distribution of marijuana Thursday.

Michael Shane Bell, 33, was arrested at 743 N. 12th shortly before 4 p.m.  The police report stated officers found marijuana growing under lights, hydroponic planting containers and numerous components utilized in indoor marijuana cultivation.

Enid detectives obtained a search warrant for Bell's home after receiving a detailed text message describing an alleged marijuana cultivation and distribution operation.

"The Text-A-Tip program worked as it was designed to," said Capt. Dean Grassino.  "It was due to the information that the anonymous person provided that started the investigation and ultimately led to the arrest. It was due to their coming forward with the information that this drug operation was shut down."
