Gunner Kiel Commits To Indiana

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Gunner Kiel, the nation's top-ranked quarterback, made his college choice official Thursday, forgoing offers from BCS powers to play for his hometown Indiana Hoosiers.

Kiel had narrowed his top four schools to Alabama, Oklahoma, Missouri and Indiana, but opted to stay at home and play for former Oklahoma offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson. Wilson left Oklahoma after the 2010 season to take the head coaching position with the Hoosiers.

In his junior campaign, Kiel passed for 2,645 yards, 36 touchdowns and just six interceptions, while completing 66.5 percent of his passes.

A week earlier, the Sooners received a commitment from dual-threat quarterback Trevor Knight from Reagan High School in San Antonio, Texas.
