Lettuce Wraps
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey
1/2 onion, chopped
(5) cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
1/2 tsp ginger
2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
Water chestnuts, diced
Green onions, diced
Peanut oil
Allspice
Lettuce leaves
Dipping Sauce:
2 tsp hoisin sauce
1 tsp chili paste
8 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
Instructions:
1. In a wok, brown ground turkey with peanut oil.
2. Add onion and garlic to wok, stir occasionally.
3. In a mixing bowl, blend together soy sauce, white wine vinegar, ginger, balsamic vinegar and a dash of allspice.
4. Pour over browned turkey mixture and cook for a couple of minutes.
5. When done, add diced water chestnuts and diced green onions.
6. Serve over lettuce leaves.
