OKLAHOMA CITY -- A fire at a water well drilling rig is out.

The rig located at 1440 S.W. 149th Street caught fire around 11:30 Wednesday morning. Firefighters say the water well drilling rig was mounted to a tractor trailer. The fire appears to have started under the passenger seat of the cab and extended into the rig.

According to Battalion Chief Chris Jackson with OKCFD, the fire sparked a small grass fire under the rig, which in turn consumed the rig with flames.

Firefighters said the fire was put out fairly quickly with the use of foam.

No injuries are reported and the actual cause of the fire is under investigation.
