DALLAS – Big 12 Football Media Day got underway Monday with five of the ten teams in the conference taking the podium to talk about the upcoming season.

We've compiled some comments from coaches and players alike to bring you the top buzz from day one.

Be sure to tune in to News 9 at 6:00 and 10:00 p.m. for Dean Blevins' live report from Dallas.

Oklahoma State:

Dean Blevins: Dean "Can you win a National Championship with this team?"
Mike Gundy: "That's our goal, we think we can. I know we have a chance to win every game on our schedule. "

"I've gotten explosive and can see on the run and process things," said OSU receiver Justin Blackmon. "I get a lot of crimson and cream people pulling for OSU."

"I'm very comfortable with where we are (as a team and program)," said Gundy.

Dean: "What are your expectations for the season?"

Brandon Weeden: "To win at least 11 games, play in a BCS game and the BCS title game."

"Each team competing annually against each other will help stimulate rivalries within our league," Mike Gundy.

On the possibility of the Texas Football Network televising high school games:

"It's a real positive for us at the University of Texas and I am glad we have that advantage," said Texas head coach Mack Brown. "When it's been brought up about the high school games being played, the way I understood it, it would have nothing to do with the University of Texas. Those games would be games that might be on ESPN anyway. We're going to sign 20 to 25 players per year….and those players will probably be committed to us before June in their junior year. So I don't think that part will have any effect on recruiting at all."

"There's a lack of common sense there for a university network to think they can televise a high school football game on their network, there's just no sense there." Gary Pinkel , Missouri head coach.

Texas on Rebuilding:

"Number one thing we want is leadership, we want someone to get the swagger back, someone that makes sure the other kids know they are going to lead them to victory, second we want someone that's going to take care of the ball because we were 116th in turnover ratio last year and it's amazing we won as many games as we did when we didn't force turnovers and didn't protect the ball," said Mack Brown.
