Edmond Fire Department Evacuates Residents Near Grassfire

EDMOND, Oklahoma -- The Edmond Fire Department is evacuating an area in far northeast Edmond as a precaution while it is battling a grassfire near Coffee Creek and Coltrane.

Edmond police said that Sooner Road is closed between Sorghum Mill and Waterloo and that homes are being evacuated between Coltrane Road and Sooner Road.

The Edmond Fire Department has called in the Oklahoma City Fire Department to assist them in putting out the fire.
