Guthrie Teen Sentenced For Plotting Dad's Murder

GUTHRIE, Oklahoma – A teenage girl who convinced her boyfriend to kill her father has been sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.

In May, a Logan County jury convicted 16-year-old Kaleigh Fryer of conspiring with her boyfriend to kill her father, Lewis Fryer. She was just 15 years old when she committed the crime in May 2010.

Jerry Chiles stabbed Lewis Fryer to death. Prosecutors say Kaleigh Fryer told Chiles to use one of the kitchen knives, then left a door to the house unlocked so he could get in.

Chiles pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to life in prison in exchange for testifying against Fryer.
