Westbound Kilpatrick Turnpike Reopens After Accident

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A two-car collision shut down traffic on the Kilpatrick Turnpike near N. Penn Avenue Thursday morning.

The crash happened around 6:45 a.m. Traffic stopped moving as an ambulance crew rushed to help the injured and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol worked to clean up the mess.

Both westbound lanes were shut down for about an hour, but have since reopened.

It's not known how many people were injured or how severely.
