UPDATE: Police have determined the death of a woman found in a burned, northwest Oklahoma City apartment was not a homicide.  They say the woman's death was accidental, but they have not revealed exactly how she died.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Emergency crews rushed to put out a fire at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment and discovered a body.

Firefighters were called to Raindance Apartments at N.W. 125th and Stratford shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday. They found a body inside a burning apartment on the upper level.

Police blocked off the location with crime scene tape late Tuesday afternoon. Police will not say if the person was murdered, but homicide and arson detectives are investigating.

Police would not release the victim's name, or reveal if there were any visible signs of trauma to the body. However, one neighbor says a white woman in her late 20s lived at the apartment. She believes the body found was that of the woman's, and she thinks she was murdered.

"Somebody started the fire basically trying to cover up a murder of the young lady that stays there," said neighbor Shamieka Carter. "It's just really weird. I don't want to stay here anymore. It's crazy."
