Storms Knock Out Power Across Metro

Thousands of people in Oklahoma City and surrounding cities were without power Tuesday afternoon because of some unexpected storms.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Thousands of people in Oklahoma City and surrounding cities were without power Tuesday afternoon because of some unexpected storms.

Isolated thunderstorms began popping up across the metro around 12:30 p.m. According to OG&E's website, the storm knocked out electricity to more than 6,000 customers in Oklahoma City, Del City, Midwest City, Guthrie, Piedmont, Warr Acres and Yukon.
