SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Drillers' offense was kept in check for most of the contest thanks to the performance of San Antonio starter Juan Oramas, falling to the first-place Antonio Missions 3-1 Monday.

Oramas (6-0) remained perfect on the season, giving up just one earned run on five hits, while striking out five in his six innings of service. Rob Scahill (6-7) struggled early, giving up three hits and three runs – two earned – in just two innings pitched.

San Antonio (61-26) did all of its scoring in the second inning, capitalizing on Tulsa (41-46) miscues to put runs on the board. With runners on second and third, Anthony Contreras reached on a throwing error by the short stop, allowing Sawyer Carroll and Ali Solis to score to take a 2-0 lead.

Juan Oramas doubled to center field in the next at-bat to bring Contreras home from second and make it a three-run advantage.

The Drillers' scored their only run in the top of the sixth, when Michael Mitchell reached via a fielding error on Thomas Field hit to third base.

Tulsa will close out the series with an 11:05 a.m. day game Tuesday, before taking Wednesday off to return to OneOK Field for a 7:05 p.m. matchup Thursday against the Arkansas Travelers.
