OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police have arrested a man accused of stabbing someone to death during a fight in southwest Oklahoma City.

Police say 42-year-old Stacy Bellis attended a party Monday night at a home near S.W. 55th and Walker.  Witnesses say he began arguing with the victim outside the house.  Police say at some point, Bellis pulled out a knife and stabbed him.

Friends helped the victim into a car and drove away from the scene.  They took him to S.W. 51st Street and Shartel where he got out of the vehicle, collapsed in a yard and died.

"Officers got there and found him in the yard. Right now, our homicide unit is out here. We'll be conducting an investigation from here," Lt. Jeff Cooper said.

Officers located Bellis near the scene of the stabbing and arrested him.  He's being held in the Oklahoma County Jail on one count of first-degree murder.

The victim's name has not been released.
