OKLAHOMA CITY -- A Del City woman has been formally charged with murder in a stabbing which happened in Oklahoma City last month.

Amanda Christina Hunter, 29, was formally charged Friday with the June 12th murder of Osmani Chicas-Melgar, 25.

Chicas-Melgar was found dead in the 5800 block of N.W. 34th St.  A roommate reported that Hunter had spent most of the night with Chicas-Melgar before he was found stabbed to death.

Oklahoma City police said Hunter was a known prostitute and most likely was trading sex for drugs from Chicas-Melgar.

Hunter was arrested on June 15th but wasn't formally charged until Friday.

Hunter's formal arraignment on the murder charge has not been set.
