MIDWEST CITY -- Police identify the woman who allegedly charged more than $1,400 to another person's credit card at a local department store.

The woman in the surveillance picture is 35-year-old Sarah Christine Bragner. Police say Bragner went to the Kohl's in Midwest City on June 4 and charged several items of merchandise to another person's account.

Surveillance pictures were released Thursday to the media. After Bragner's picture was displayed, several calls came in to the police station.

"The effect of instant news and information is always a plus for law enforcement," Chief Brandon Clabes said. "It was literally a moment after Bragner's picture was shown on various media outlet sites and local newscast, we started getting important tips which have now lead to her positive identification." Clabes added.

In fact, after the case went public, investigators say they received calls from the Moore Police Department stating Bragner was involved in a larceny from the J.C. Penney store in its jurisdiction.

According to Moore police, Bragner was confronted by security personnel and physically assaulted store employees. During the scuffle, Bragner dropped her purse and identification.

Police also said two former inmates of Bragner at a state correctional institution called saying Bragner was the one whose picture had been shown on television. Bragner is currently under supervision of probation and parole; however, her whereabouts are unknown at this time.

The Midwest City Police Department will be presenting one count of Identity Theft against Bragner with the Oklahoma County District Attorney's office. Moore Police Department presented charges against Bragner through the Cleveland County District Attorney's office earlier this year.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Bragner, contact police.
