OKLAHOMA CITY – Nearly one week after being granted a transfer release from the University of Arkansas basketball team, Oklahoma native Rotnei Clarke is ready to begin visiting prospective schools this week before deciding where to transfer.

According to multiple sources, the six-foot guard will tour Butler on Thursday and possibly set up tours of Oklahoma and Virginia.

"I'm not trying to rush through the process," Clarke told CBS Sports. "I only have one year left to play, so I want to make sure I make the best decision.

Clarke was one of three players granted a release from the University of Missouri after the school fired coach John Pelphrey earlier this year. Although he will have to sit out the 2011-12 season, Clarke will still have one season of eligibility remaining.

"I've in no way made a decision yet. I just want to get as much information as possible before I decide," said Clarke.

New Arkansas coach Mike Anderson and athletics director Jeff Long for weeks denied Clarke's request for a release but finally relented on June 20 and granted Clarke the release to transfer to any non-SEC school.

Last year for the Razorbacks, Clarke was the leading scorer, averaging 15.2 points per game.

Clarke, an Oklahoma native, played his high school ball at Verdigris where he became the all-time leading high school scorer in the state of Oklahoma.

Clarke also told CBS Sports he has no plans to visit Gonzaga.
