OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma City police officer discharged her weapon at two, armed men who broke into a house where a teenage girl was home alone.

The 15-year-old girl heard someone kick in her front door Monday morning in the 600 block of S.W. 69th Street.  She hid in a closet and called 911.  The dispatcher quickly sent police to the house.

Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Kristin Ceder was the first to arrive at the house.  She saw two suspects coming out of the front door.  One was armed with a rifle, the other was carrying a shotgun.

Sgt. Ceder confronted the burglary suspects and discharged her weapon at them.  Neither suspect was hit.  They ran from the scene, but officers caught them just a few flocks away in a  neighbor's yard.

Julio Alvarez, 19, and Anthony Perez, 17, were taken into custody and booked into the Oklahoma County jail on counts of first-degree burglary and pointing a firearm.

No one was hurt.  Sgt. Ceder has been placed on routine administrative leave while the incident is investigated.  Sgt. Ceder has been an Oklahoma City police officer for nine years.
