OKLAHOMA CITY -- A fundraiser is planned for an Oklahoma lawman who was shot as he worked off-duty on May 21, 2011.

The Oklahoma City Sheriff's Office Lodge 155 has planned a Fundraising Golf Tournament for Major John Waldenville.

Waldenville was making a bank deposit in his security job for Cattleman's Restaurant when he was shot once in the head, just above the right eye.

The two men believed to have committed the crime, 18-year-old Keonta Prince and 29-year-old Christopher Baker, were both arrested within two days after the shooting.

The tournament will be held at Silverhorn Golf Club on Monday June 27 with an 8 a.m. starting time. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. Player donation is $100 (minimum).

There also will be a silent auction during the event and lunch will be provided. All proceeds will be donated to Major Waldenville to help with any expenses needed in his recovery.

Auction items are needed. If you would like to help out with auction items or simply make a monetary donation, you can make checks payable to "OCSO FOP 155" and add "Major John Waldenville" on the memo line.

For more information contact Sergeant Larry Grant, OCSO Lodge 155 President at (405) 713-1068.
