OKLAHOMA CITY -- A baby girl was killed Thursday in a tragic accident on Oklahoma City's southwest side.

Police say the baby was run over by a truck outside her home.

Police cars filled the 1600 block of S.W. 32nd Street as family members mourned.  They were  left in shock over the death of an 18-month-old girl.

"It's nothing you want to see," said neighbor Rolando Talamantes. "It's tragic. It could happen to anybody."

Police said a family was holding a garage sale at their home when the unthinkable happened. A member of the family got into a truck to leave, but never noticed the baby had walked out with her and ended up behind the truck.

The baby was struck and killed. Police said it was an accident.

Police arrived at the neighborhood around 2:15 p.m. Thursday. The baby girl was pronounced dead at the scene

"I just know when I got home, the street was blocked off," said neighbor Cherie Mayberry. "That's really sad."

People at the home of the little girl were left in shock as they cleaned up from the garage sale. They would not go on camera. Residents of the neighborhood say their thoughts are with the family.

"They're my neighbors. I feel sorry for them," Talamantes said.
