OU's Candyce McGrone Claims 100-Meter Dash Title

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Oklahoma's Candyce McGrone pulled off a upset in the 100-Meter Dash Friday, knocking off LSU's Kimberlyn Duncan to claim the National Title by one-one hundredth of a second.

The 14th-ranked junior from Indianapolis, Indiana won the race in a time of 11.08 seconds, breaking the school record that she set of 11.17 seconds earlier in the outdoor season, making it four records in her career.

Her national title marks the 35th overall national title and just the eighth women's national title in school history.
