BRAGGS, Oklahoma -- A 20-year-old Muskogee woman died Saturday evening in a car crash a few miles north of Braggs.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 20-year-old James Calhaun was driving a Ford Mustang northbound on State Highway 10 when the car left the road and slammed into a cement culvert. The car rolled over twice.

Mary Moler, 21, was ejected from the car and pinned underneath it for at least 15 minutes before a Fort Gibson Fire and Rescue team freed her. Moler was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another passenger, 20-year-old Cody Parks, was also ejected from the vehicle. He was thrown 30 feet away from the wreck. Parks was rushed to a nearby hospital with head injuries.

Calhaun, the driver, was taken to the hospital with head and leg injuries.

An OHP trooper reported there was an odor of alcohol in the car, and that the driver may also have been distracted by a passenger.

No one in the car was wearing a seatbelt.
