'Sooner Or Later' Historical Exhibit Free At City Hall

From the city's first unofficial mayor who was shot in a land dispute to present day, Oklahoma City history is on display at City Hall.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- From the city's first unofficial mayor who was shot in a land dispute to present day, Oklahoma City history is on display at City Hall.

A history exhibit entitled "Oklahoma City! Sooner or Later…" can be viewed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday except holidays. It's on the second floor of the City Hall building, 200 N. Walker.

Oklahoma City's government from the frontier days of 1889 on is shown in photos and documents. Topics include the birth of Oklahoma City, its growth, equality, transparency and the evolution to today's council-management form of government.

The Sooner or Later exhibit is free and self-guided.
