OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma Impact Team continues to track changes at the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Our impact team began looking into the OSBI after several families came forward, frustrated their cases hadn't been solved.
In an exclusive interview earlier this year, the Director of the OSBI, Stan Florence, told the Impact Team the agency was prohibited by law from sharing case information with families. Florence said that had become a problem he wanted to change and he did.
On Friday, Governor Mary Fallin signed House Bill 1800, which allows the OSBI Director to release certain case information to families looking for answers.
Florence said he will use extreme caution in deciding what information he will share.
