TULSA, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma's own Pioneer Woman came to the big city Thursday to promote her newest venture.

Ree Drummond talked to students at Monte Cassino Thursday afternoon about her favorite dog, the star of her new children's book, "Charlie the Ranch Dog."

Drummond is also working on her own cooking show for the food network.  She said they'll shoot it at the ranch and the whole family will get involved.

"We're going to show little slices of ranch life in Osage County and I'm just going to cook the things that I would cook normally, with ingredients I can get in Pawhuska, cause that's my life," she said. "It'll be a fun adventure."

Drummond said the show will start airing sometime this fall.
