WAYNE, Oklahoma -- The Wayne City Council voted to fire the city's police chief Tuesday night.

Chief Ronald Reagan faces three counts of embezzlement and is accused of taking money that was marked for child abuse victims.

The council voted Tuesday night to terminate Reagan without pay or benefits.

Reagan has 10 days to appeal the decision.
